After living in Thousand Oaks for 27 years, we decided last May to sell our house & move and without hesitation, our first call was to the Gravers. We’d known Brian and Kerri for years since their kids and ours had gone to the same schools since first grade, we’d watched them build their business for years and sell homes for friends and neighbors. So we were expecting great support from them but we had no idea how much we actually needed - selling a home has become so much more complicated since 1996. Brian & Kerri’s advice on pricing, simple but effective staging, trading off home repairs versus disclosure, folding their detailed knowledge of the neighborhood into the marketing and lining up potential buyers was invaluable. When the market suddenly slowed, they talked us through it, carefully calculated a reasonable price adjustment and within a week, we had a buyer. We think working with that buyer was where they helped us the most– Brian’s negotiating skills and being on-site for every inspection, Kerri’s document review keeping us out of trouble, and Jessica (who we met at this point) keeping us on track with the numerous document signatures and schedules. Finally, the Gravers went the extra mile to make sure the sale of our home lined up with the purchase of our new home, a contingent purchase, where delays could have been costly. We can’t recommend the Gravers enough.
